Side-project électro-ambient de Johann Guillon (membre fondateur et multi-instrumentiste du mythique groupe EZ3kiel), Zero Gravity se caractérise par une approche envoûtante, à la fois sombre et lumineuse d’une musique électronique organique, céleste et hypnotique, riche en textures synthétiques des plus somptueuses.

Entre les tournées, sa passion pour les arts et sciences et les heures passées à digger de la techno, Johann part prendre le large à bord d’un voilier pour trouver de nouvelles inspirations. C’est en plongeant en mer qu’il devient fasciné par les modifications de ses perceptions sensorielles sous l’eau. Ces résonances, combinées aux claquements des vagues sur le bateau, va pousser l’artiste à développer une nouvelle approche de la musique électronique. Il va alors mêler sa guitare, ses synthés et son Ebow aux multiples aspects de la programmation électronique.

Inspiré d’artistes prodiges comme John Hopkins, Max Cooper ou Niels Frahm, ses premiers bidouillages qu’il projette sur le haut-parleur du navire vont attirer les baleines et les dauphins. Stupéfait du pouvoir des vibrations musicales sur cet environnement marin, Johann va, dès son retour, créer un nouveau genre musical, la techno aquatique. Zero Gravity est alors né.

Depuis sa création, Zero Gravity a réalisé de nombreuses remixes pour des artistes comme Olivier Mellano, Laetitia Shériff, Magnetic Ensemble ou encore Anakronic Orchestra proposant ainsi une approche singulière empreinte de ses influences et de son histoire personnelle.

Son premier single Floating Points, sorti le 15 juillet 2020 sur le label Slab Note, a posé les fondations d’un futur album spectral, émotionnel, dont le relief est inspiré de nombreux contrastes, essence même de la musique de Zero Gravity.

Aujourd’hui il dévoile un second single, Une Très Légère Oscillation. Si ce titre fait référence au livre du même nom du formidable Sylvain Tesson, ce n’est pas anodin. Entre les mots de l’écrivain voyageur se dessine l’écriture d’un destin. Sylvain Tesson nous incite à jouir de chaque instant, à s’extasier devant le vivant et à se consacrer au moment présent plutôt que d’attendre du lendemain. Cette conscience toujours en éveil, on la retrouve dans l’œuvre de Zero Gravity. Ce nouveau single prend la forme d’un voyage électronique bouleversant. Zero Gravity, expérimentateur sonore hors norme, nous offre une échappatoire, un moment hors du temps pour se recentrer sur l’essentiel. Un morceau évolutif et vaporeux qui alterne phases de puissances et envolées mystiques. Une musique organique et onirique pour se rappeler qu’on est en vie.

Electro-ambient side-project of Johann Guillon (founding member and multi-instrumentalist of the legendary group EZ3kiel), Zero Gravity is characterized by a bewitching approach, at the same time dark and luminous of an organic, celestial and hypnotic electronic music, rich in the most sumptuous synthetic textures.

Between tours, his passion for the arts and sciences and the hours spent digging into techno, Johann sets off on a sailboat to find new inspiration. It is while diving in the sea that he becomes fascinated by the changes in his sensory perceptions underwater. These resonances, combined with the crashing waves on the boat, will push the artist to develop a new approach to electronic music. He will then mix his guitar, his synths and his Ebow with the multiple aspects of electronic programming.

Inspired by prodigy artists like John Hopkins, Max Cooper or Niels Frahm, his first hacks which he projects on the loudspeaker of the ship will attract whales and dolphins. Stunned by the power of musical vibrations on this marine environment, Johann will, upon his return, create a new musical genre, aquatic techno. Zero Gravity was then born.

Since its creation, Zero Gravity has produced many remixes for artists such as Olivier Mellano, Laetitia Shériff, Magnetic Ensemble or even Anakronic Orchestra, thus offering a unique approach imprinted with its influences and personal history.

Today he unveils a second single, Une Très Légère Oscillation. If this title refers to the book of the same name by the formidable Sylvain Tesson, it is not trivial.
