    Who bet in year 1998 when we released « Fantasque hits » (FX001) that Jarring Effects would go on experimenting till 100th reference ? A few people and even not those who ran JFX boat at that time ! That's why we decided to celebrate this release which is a kind of anniversary. We've decided to offer you a sampler album of unreleased singles, unexpected collaborations and remixes, all exclusive, bringing together artists associated with the Jarring Effects catalogue and other artist friends. FX100 is a boxset like Jarring Effects is, made of meetings, confrontations and blending genres. Three records represent each musical facet of the label : dub, hip hop and unclassifiable music, to create one sole entity that symbolizes also a new start and announces great human and musical surprises.

    Jarring Effects is a crew which organises concerts, parties and festivals in Lyon and Europe, and which also produces records. A flagship of what we call French electro-dub with High Tone or EZ3kiel, the label has always been an eclectic vocation (hip hop, post-rock, noise, techno...).
    With the same spirit as its opening, october 2011 will see the 13th edition of the Riddim Collision festival in Lyon. Despite a particularly morose western context, J-FX endlessly seeks to produce and diffuse innovative music and expressions whilst preserving the spirit of independence and solidarity.

C'est en invitant Simon Begg lors du Riddim Collision en 2009 que nous lui avons offert l'album d'Oddateee fraîchement sorti chez Jarring Effects. Immédiatement fan d'« Halfway Homeless », le producteur anglais nous a alors proposé ce remix qu'on a tout naturellement décidé d'intégrer à FX100. Une collaboration transatlantique rare et surprenante où le break anglais de Si Begg sert d'écrin au flow incendiaire d'Oddateee.
